Waikato Bay of Plenty Magic Netball
Turned around a 7 figure debt inside three years with a small profit in year three.
New sponsors were signed that netted the club the highest sponsorship revenue streams in the league.
New relationships developed with key community trusts that enhanced financial support into the community netball.
Secured a multi-year sponsorship, providing the team with a dedicated training facility. This included high-performance support from world-class sports scientists, both on and off the court, complete with gym access, nutritional guidance, and recovery support.
Led award-winning events and initiatives to enhance the spectator experience:
• Fully-themed Hobbiton Cup games—a first in New Zealand sports
• The Retro themed heritage games
• The Go Local games, high school curtain-raisers
• Foyer activations – Supercars and indoor glamping
A new integrated social media campaign resulted in a 42% increase in home crowd attendance.

Te Awamutu swifts game
We approached the NSW Swifts netball club to play and train with the Magic in Te Awamutu. At the time they were the reigning Australian netball champions and had a superstar team.
We produced the first live broadcast from Te Awamutu Events Centre in front of a sellout crowd of 850 people. We achieved 58,000 views on You Tube, 70,000 views on Sky TV and more than 4.5 million social media interactions…with a little help from our mates at Hobbiton!
